2050 land use update arrives at Redondo Beach city council
Oct 4, 2024 · The city council meets again Oct. 15, and Oct. 29 before deciding on the General Plan Update, which then goes to voters for approval next March. A General Plan Advisory Committee, appointed by the city council, has held 28 meetings since 2017 to create the Update, for which “Vision 2050” is the mission statement, looking to the next 25 years.

Five Hermosa Beach residents have qualified as candidates for two city council seats on the November 4 ballot, City Clerk Myra Maravilla announced Wednesday. The seats are currently held by Councilmembers Mike Detoy and Justin Massey. Detoy was first elected in 2020, and is seeking reelection. Massey was elected in 2015 and again in 2020.

Small hotel development slated for downtown Manhattan Beach
Sep 19, 2024 · A nine-room, 4,494 square foot hotel, developed by longtime local property owner Tony Choueke and designed by architect Louie Tomaro, will replace a real estate office in downtown Manhattan Beach.
