Cal Raleigh was named the AL Player of the Week for the second time this month as the Seattle catcher has surged into the MVP discussion as he leads all of MLB in home runs with 31 on the season.

He’s been one of the best pitchers in baseball the first half of the season with a 10-2 record and 1.92 ERA and will challenge Detroit’s Tarik Skubal for the American League Cy Young Award.

His second player of the week award was announced on April 28, following his historic four-homer game on April 26. He was 8-for-20, .400 with nine RBI that week.
