In response to Americans’ mounting concerns over Elon Musk’s conflicts of interest in the government, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the Trump administration will let Musk decide whether he has conflicts of interest.

The White House agrees to temporarily restrict Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency’s access to the Treasury Department’s sprawling payment system. This comes as the agency in charge of Medicare and Medicaid confirm it's working with DOGE to find ways to use resources more efficiently "in line with meeting the goals of President Trump.
