Oregon Confirms First Human Case of Bird Flu
(Reuters) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday confirmed highly pathogenic form of bird flu in a person linked to a commercial poultry operation in Clackamas County in Oregon. "There is no evidence of person-to-person transmission and the risk to the public is low," the CDC said.

Bird flu is confirmed in hospitalized Canadian teen
Initial testing had indicated the teenager's infection was from bird flu and was confirmed in further testing, the Public Health Agency of Canada said in a statement. The teen has been hospitalized in Vancouver since Friday and was reported in critical condition on Tuesday.
