In a worrisome development on Tuesday, Mitch Marner missed his second straight practice. Initially given a maintenance day, it seemed that things were a bit worse than originally thought.

Marner has been off the ice since scoring the game-winning goal in Toronto's thrilling 4-3 overtime win against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. After initially being held off the ice due to 'maintenance', the Leafs later revealed that Toronto's scoring leader would not play on Tuesday due to a lower-body injury.

Dangle's projection comes nearly one month after he envisioned, on New Year's Eve, Marner signing a contract extension worth $13.1 million per season. However, he offered that projection before the new salary cap estimations were released by the NHL at the end of January.
