Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gifted Holy Sangam Water from Mahakumbh to Mauritius President Dharam Gokhool and a Banarasi saree from Varanasi to his wife. The prime minister gifted Holy Sangam Water from Mahakumbh in a Brass and Copper pot to Gokhool.

In a gesture of cultural exchange and friendship, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted the Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool with holy Sangam water from the Mahakumbh, packaged in an exquisite brass and copper pot.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day state visit to the Republic of Mauritius. Earlier, PM Modi, along with his Mauritian counterpart Navin Ramgoolam, planted a Bael (Wood Apple) Tree at the SSR Botanical Garden as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative.

The prime minister presented the holy water from Mahakumbh in a brass and copper pot to Gokhool. Modi, who arrived in Mauritius early Tuesday on a two-day State Visit, also gave Gokhool several others gifts, including makhana — a super food from Bihar.

During his visit to Mauritius for the country’s National Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reinforced India’s deep-rooted ties with the island nation through symbolic gifts and cultural exchanges.
