India is no longer a poor country and must take decisive steps in advancing its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, said Dr. Manish Gupta, Senior Director at Google DeepMind.

Addressing concerns about AI development costs, Dr Gupta dismissed the notion that AI research is prohibitively expensive.
