McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, who took his maiden pole position on Saturday, got a great start in Sunday's race to lead into the first corner, as Norris passed Russell for second.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri started from pole for the first time in his F1 career, with the Mercedes of George Russell alongside him — but overtaken by Lando Norris on the opening lap. Lewis Hamilton had already enjoyed a successful weekend with Ferrari, after taking sprint race victory from pole yesterday.

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were caught hilariously joking around at the expense of team principal Andrea Stella at the Chinese Grand Prix. Norris, Piastri and George Russell secured the top three in Shanghai and headed to the cooldown room to watch the race highlights in usual fashion.
