White Sox fans had a double celebration on Friday: a 6-2 win over the Miami Marlins and the election of Pope Leo XIV, who is said to be a fan of the team.

And now, one White Sox fan, Sox on 35th blogger Joe Binder, has unearthed footage of Leo clearly in the crowd for Game 1 of that World Series. The now-pope looks somewhat uneasy as White Sox closer Bobby Jenks closes out a 5-3 win over the Houston Astros. The White Sox went on to sweep the Astros to win their first World Series in 88 years.

Since Robert Prevost is a Chicago native, baseball fans were eager to learn which baseball team the new pontiff supports.
