Stephen King recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming film adaptation of his story, The Monkey . This is a horror comedy directed by Osgood Perkins  ( Longlegs ), and it looks like it’s going to take audiences on a chaotic and bloody journey.

Written and directed by Longlegs helmer Osgood Perkins and adapted from King's short story of the same name, The Monkey follows twin brothers Hal and Bill (both played by Theo James), who witnessed a string of horrifying deaths as children after discovering their father's toy monkey in the attic.

Now, King has given his blessing to an upcoming film he has branded 'b*****t insane'. Taking to social media, the veteran author penned: "You've never seen anything like The Monkey. It's b*****t insane. As someone who has indulged in b*********y from time to time, I say that with admiration."

The definitive Stephen King movie, in my opinion, is actually two movies: It Chapter One and Two, directed by Andy Muschietti in 2017 and 2019.

Social media reactions to early screenings of the bombastic new horror comedy arrived earlier this month, but Stephen King has now added his voice to the chorus of praise. The author has seen the movie, and in posting his critique to Threads, he has revealed that he is enamored with how off-the-walls it is. King wrote,
