Australian ace Oscar Piastri has landed a multi-year deal with McLaren ahead of F1's season opener, and his home race, in Melbourne.

Formula One champions McLaren have secured Oscar Piastri for the long-term after announcing on Wednesday a multi-year contract extension ahead of the 23-year-old driver's home Australian grand prix.

McLaren have re-signed Oscar Piastri on a new contract extension, two full seasons before his current deal was due to expire. Oscar Piastri has put pen to paper on a new deal which will see him stay with the Woking-based squad for the medium-term future.
