COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Snow began falling late Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs as a system bringing sub-zero temperatures moved into Southern Colorado. Experts at UCHealth said the freezing temperatures will put people at an increased risk of frostbite. They said frostbite happens when tissue starts freezing.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Denver as an arctic blast is pushing through Colorado. Below-freezing temps are expected for 115 hours straight as wind chills dip to -30° in Colorado.
