A giraffe at the Racine Zoo has died after falling Thursday afternoon. The Racine Zoo says Jabari the Masai Giraffe, who had been at the zoo since October 2017, suffered a fall in his holding area and was unable to lift himself to stand again.
The City of Racine is opening four of its community centers on Monday, Jan. 20 to serve as warming centers. Those community centers will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on MLK Day, a federal holiday. The city has offered information about other warming centers as well.
