Keith Smart, a former Arkansas basketball assistant, was named the head coach of Utah Prep Academy in Hurricane, Utah, the school announced Monday. Smart, 60, was on staff under former Arkansas coach Eric Musselman from 2021-24. His hiring at Utah Prep came after the school parted ways with former coach Justin Yamzon two months into the season.

Arkansas State University and Coach Butch Jones announced the addition of two assistant coaches to the staff Thursday. Rashad Pittman has been hired to lead the defensive line, while Kwame Agyeman joins the staff to coach the safeties.

The Arkansas and Missouri men's basketball teams both had disappointing seasons a year ago. The Razorbacks entered with lofty expectations but scampered to a 16-17 finish that left them out of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
