Portland police ‘vigilant’ for New Orleans copycat attacks; no threats in area known
The Portland Police Bureau is watching out for “copycat” attacks inspired by the deadly Jan. 1 attack in New Orleans in which a driver used a car to mow down New Year’s Day revelers, but it has learned of no specific threats in the Portland area, police said Monday.
