Tonje dropped 27 points, 15 of which arrived in the first frame, and corralled five rebounds in 29 minutes of action. Wisconsin’s administration preferred Penney’s employment be on a “trial” basis at first, Gard said. But Gard felt what Penney was bringing would work.
