The wealthy entrepreneur, tapped by Donald Trump to co-lead an outside effort focused on “efficiency,” campaigned on an assertion that the president has the power to fire 75 percent of the federal work force.

President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday said Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will lead a new non-governmental agency called the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge).

Ramaswamy is a suburban Columbus entrepreneur and former presidential candidate who grew up in the Cincinnati area.
