James Wood hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Jake Irvin pitched eight innings of three-hit ball as the Washington Nationals beat the San Francisco Giants 3-0.

The San Francisco Giants looked a little different when they took the field at Nationals Park on Saturday afternoon. Opting out of their classic away grays for the afternoon, the team decided to wear their black alternate uniforms typically worn for home games on Saturday nights.

Irvin delivered eight scoreless innings and got all the support he needed from Wood’s first-inning two-run homer during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Nationals Park.
