A fan of former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is suing the NFL after Sanders wasn’t picked until the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. An unnamed fan in Georgia, who filed the lawsuit as “John Doe,” is suing the NFL for $100 million.

According to estimates by Front Office Sports, as cited in Yahoo, the 2023 edition in Detroit drew more than 775,000 people. That's the best attended so far, with this year's event in Green Bay drawing approximately north of 600,000, which ties it for second with Nashville (2019).

An unidentified fan from Georgia has filed a $100-million lawsuit against the NFL, arguing that the 23-year-old quarterback's unexpected drop in the draft caused “emotional distress and trauma” to the plaintiff “as a fan and consumer” of the NFL.
