A former senior aide to first lady Jill Biden has declined to answer questions as part of a House Republican probe into former President Joe Biden's mental state.

Anthony Bernal is the second person Biden staffer to assert their Fifth Amendment right to the GOP-led House Oversight Committee.

Annie Tomasini, described as intensely loyal to the Biden family, faces congressional investigators Friday in the probe examining whether Biden's top aides concealed signs of his decline.
