The fourth T20I encounter between India and South Africa on Friday was marred by an unfortunate incident. While Indian wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson was back in business as he smashed a blistering 109 off just 56 balls, one of his mammoth sixes struck a female fan in the crowd.

Sanju Samson became the first player to register three hundreds in T20Is in a calendar year during the 4th T20I against South Africa at The Wanderers in Johannesburg. Samson hammered nine sixes and struck six boundaries during his stay in the middle.

While Samson remained unbeaten on 109, Tilak Varma slammed his second consecutive T20I hundred (120*) in the fourth game against South Africa.

Samson's devastating hit in the 10th over off Tristan Stubbs sailed over the mid-wicket fence and struck a female fan on the face, leaving her injured and in tears during the fourth T20I in Johannesburg on Friday.

While Tilak smashed 10 maximums, Sanju tonked 9 during his stay in the middle. One of Sanju’s sixes went on to hit a spectator at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. The incident happened in the second ball of the 10th over when the wicketkeeper-batter slog-swept Tristian Stubbs’ tossed for a second consecutive six.

Sanju Samson immediately had his hand up to say sorry to the lady after his shot hit her on the face but she was left inconsolable.
