The bill the U.S. House approved last week that covers much of President Donald Trump’s domestic agenda includes new work requirements for Medicaid — the health care program for low-income Americans.

House Speaker Mike Johnson shepherded through Congress President Trump's spending bill, which includes Medicaid work requirements.

The bill, which Republicans will be working to pass over the next several weeks, is the centerpiece of Trump's legislative agenda.

The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia says SNAP and Medicaid cuts in Trump's bill could cause widespread hunger and loss of health coverage.
