Ryder shot a personal-best 62 in the second round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship on Friday, and that’s with a bogey on his closing hole. He was nine shots better than his even-par round of 71 on the first day and he sits at 9 under, just three back of the lead with 36 holes to go.

SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda (AP) — Justin Lower had another 6-under 65 without taking advantage of the par 5s on Friday, giving him a two-shot lead going into the weekend at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

The 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship kicked off Thursday at Port Royal Golf Course, and scores were all over the place. Some golfers managed to shoot in the mid-60s while about as many shot in the mid 70s.

Justin Lower had another 6-under 65 without taking advantage of the par 5s on Friday, giving him a two-shot lead going into the weekend at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The island paradise was more like a grind in the wind and squalls of rain at Port Royal.

Hayden Springer, who came to Bermuda at No. 125 in the FedEx Cup, shot a 6-under 65 for a share of the lead at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
