Yankees captain Aaron Judge is dealing with a flexor strain in his right elbow that has landed him on the 10-day injured list, manager Aaron Boone said after Saturday afternoon's 9-4 loss to the Phillies at Yankee Stadium.

The two-time MVP will be placed on the 10-day injured list with what an MRI exam revealed to be a flexor strain of the right elbow, but there is nothing wrong with his ulnar collateral ligament and he will not be shut down long term.

Manager Aaron Boone said before the game that the club doesn’t know the extent of the injury, that the two-time AL Most Valuable Player was sent for imagine tests and that they are awaiting the results of the test. Team physician Dr. Chris Ahmad was expected to be at the ballpark to examine Judge.
