It would be more elegant if we can have the RM500 and RM1,000 notes like we used to before they ceased to be legal tender in July 1999.

The government will provide a special Aidilfitri financial aid of RM500 to civil servants in Grade 56 and below, with payments to be made next week, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today.
