The American skiing star came in second in the super-G at the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho on Sunday finishing 1.29 seconds behind first-place finisher Lara Gut-Behrami, who also won the super-G season title. Vonn returned from retirement in an effort to compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Lindsey Vonn concluded her comeback season at age 40 with a second-place finish in a World Cup super-G race Sunday that was won by Swiss standout Lara Gut-Behrami.

The skiing world descended on Sun Valley, Idaho this weekend as the final event of the FIS season finally got underway after Saturday’s cancellation and even if you aren’t a skiing fan a familiar face was the story of the day.
