Maxey's scoring prowess has kept the Sixers afloat all season. He recently joined Wilt Chamberlain, Allen Iverson and Joel Embiid as the only Sixers to score 28 points or more in 11 consecutive games.

The Philadelphia 76ers needed their young star to step up to the plate on Tuesday when they played host to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were riding a 4-game winning streak and the Sixers were once again playing short-handed without their stars.
