A "school-aged" child in Lamoille County caught measles after traveling internationally, according to the Vermont health department. Public risk is reportedly low.

(Reuters) -Measles cases in Texas and New Mexico rose to 351 on Friday, the health departments of the states said, an increase of 34 infections over the last three days as the United States deals with one of the largest measles outbreaks in the past decade.

A measles outbreak that began in Texas at the start of the year has infected over 300 people as of Tuesday, as cases of the highly contagious illness have been spotted in 17 states and already exceeded the total number of measles cases reported in 2024.
