The film, directed by Nick Rowland and adapted from Jordan Harper’s novel, follows Nate being recently released from prison after five years behind bars as he’s hunted by a nefarious drug kinpin with his estranged young daughter Polly (Ana Sophia Heger) in tow.

The actor acknowledges that every time he takes his shirt off for a role, the fan-casting wishes for Wolverine start. But he doesn't take it seriously, calling them "almost like a joke at this point."
