The Steelers were set on getting safety help Friday. Per The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov and the NFL transaction sheet, Pittsburgh worked out veteran safety Marcus Williams today. As previously reported, the Steelers also worked out and eventually signed safety Chuck Clark. However, Williams didn’t get a deal on Friday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing former Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets safety Chuck Clark, the team announced on Friday. Clark is coming off two back-to-back seasons with serious injuries. He missed all of 2023 with a torn ACL, and returned for the 2024 season, but it was ended early by a torn pectoral muscle.
Clark began his NFL career on the Ravens for the first six seasons, which happen to be the Steelers' AFC North archrival. He didn't play in the 2023 season after he tore his ACL. Then, in 2024, Clark played for the Jets with now-Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
