Seattle Sounders FC acquired standout forward Jesús Ferreira from FC Dallas on Wednesday in exchange for midfielder Léo Chú and up to $2.3 million in general allocation money.

Entering one of the biggest seasons in franchise history, the Sounders have completed their first significant move of the offseason.

Seattle sent a massive package to Texas to land the U.S. men's national team striker, including midfielder Léo Chú, $1,000,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM), $500,000 of 2026 GAM and up to $800,000 in additional GAM if certain performance metrics are met, as well as a 2025 international roster slot.

The Seattle Sounders have acquired striker Jesus Ferreira from FC Dallas for $1.5m in GAM, potential for another $800,000 in GAM, an international roster spot, and winger Leo Chu. Dallas and Seattle will both retain sell on percentages for their former players.
