The San Antonio Fire Department told CBS News on Saturday that 12 people have been found dead after flooding on highways in Texas.

San Antonio authorities said Friday that eight people are dead and at least six are missing across the city after record rainfall hit the area Thursday.

As San Antonio mourns the loss of at least twelve residents swept from roads during the record flood event Thursday, prayers can be assigned to names, or at least seven of them so far. The death toll from the floods continues to rise, nearly by the hour, and Bexar County officials are beginning to tell us who they are.
