Mercedes-Benz denies V-8 rumors, confirming the C63 AMG will keep its F1-inspired 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain.

Mercedes-AMG is expected to unveil an all-electric supercar concept later this year that could be its quickest vehicle in the sub-brand's history.

The Vision AMG concept more closely previews an electric four-door liftback that will serve as a zero-emissions alternative to the current GT 4-Door Coupe. The electric liftback is also undergoing testing and is slated to arrive next year, likely as a 2027 model for the U.S. The electric SUV is expected to follow in 2027, arriving as a 2028 model.

We’ll believe it when we see it, but the Mercedes-AMG C 63 might be reunited with its beloved V-8 as soon as 2026.
