Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said on Tuesday during a news conference that there will be “no amnesty” for migrants and mass deportations will continue to achieve a “100% American workforce.” Rollins cited the number of adults in the Medicaid program,

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins believes that Medicaid work requirements and artificial intelligence will help bolster the nation's farming workforce, while President Trump has been weighing exemptions for undocumented migrants working on farms.

When reached by Newsweek, White House spokesperson Kush Desai said, "President Trump made a clear pledge: no cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security. The One, Big, Beautiful only addresses waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid with commonsense reforms like popular work requirements and eligibility verification."

Covered California, the state's Affordable Care Act health insurance marketplace, estimates that up to 660,000 of the 2 million in the program will be stripped of coverage or drop out.

The nonprofit is challenging a new law that bars its clinics from receiving federal money for any treatment, including birth control and checkups.
