Hundreds of students marched through downtown Los Angeles Tuesday as part of the latest demonstration denouncing President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The police presence and officers’ response is determined on a case-by-case basis, law enforcement officials said. Those interviewed said they support protesters’ First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly, but that demonstrations shouldn’t evolve into breaking the law or putting themselves or others in danger.

Protesters rallying against immigration policies under the current presidential administration marched through the streets of downtown Los Angeles Tuesday, marking another day of demonstrations after protests continued for six straight days​ last week.
