New rumors suggest the iPhone 17 Pro will receive a series of major camera additions that should be tempting for anyone looking to upgrade.

First up, the iPhone 17 Pro will apparently offer up to 8x optical zoom. Currently, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max offer 5x telephoto zoom cameras. And if that wasn't enough, the iPhone 17 Pro's lens will be movable, to allow for continuous optical zoom below the 8x maximum.

The phones will release with iOS 26, bringing a new “liquid glass” interface and more Apple Intelligence tools. Though the upgraded AI Siri is still expected to land in 2026, and there’s even talk of a foldable iPhone in the pipeline, Apple fans are counting down to the iPhone 17. Here’s what we know so far.
