Hunter Brown and three Houston Astros relievers combined for a two-hit shutout to salvage a split in the four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

While he was preparing on the field Saturday prior to Triple-A Sugar Land’s game at Albuquerque, Astros No. 2 prospect Jacob Melton noticed another player who was originally out of the lineup grabbing a glove and heading out to the field.

After taking batting practice Friday as part of his rehab, Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez felt pain in his right hand. An imaging showed a fracture 60% healed.
