The FIA have announced the stewards verdict after an incident involving F1 champion Max Verstappen at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. The four-time drivers' title holder was summoned to the stewards at 18:20 local time (CEST) in Budapest over an alleged breach of Article 34.

Max Verstappen is under investigation for a bizarre incident which occurred during second practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Four-time world champion Verstappen was seen throwing an object, which appeared to look like a towel, out of the cockpit of his Red Bull car and onto the side of the track on the straight before Turn 4.

Max Verstappen is facing a trip to the FIA stewards after an investigation was launched over a bizarre incident during FP2 at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver was spotted appearing to throw a towel from the cockpit of his RB21 while moving at slow speed during Friday’s second free practice session in Budapest.
