On Tuesday, King Soopers said they were working to file a temporary restraining order as strikes continue throughout Colorado.King Soopers locations in several Colorado counties, including Pueblo, have begun striking over alleged unfair labor practices.

King Soopers has filed a temporary restraining order against union workers, accusing picketers of harassing customers amid a strike across over 70 Denver metro area grocery stores.

King Soopers is seeking a temporary restraining order (TRO) in order to “protect the well-being of everyone” during an unfair labor practice strike that began in February.

King Soopers is suing the union representing the workers striking in Colorado, claiming bad-faith negotiating tactics.

“It is particularly galling that King Soopers is making such false allegations given the Company’s own track record of being caught lying about illegal coordination agreements with its competitor Safeway/Albertsons during the 2022 ULP strike by UFCW Local 7 workers,” said Kim Cordova, President of UFCW Local 7, in a statement.

With a strike underway in several Front Range communities, King Soopers has sued the labor union that represents thousands of its employees.
