Cincinnati Reds right-hander Carson Spiers went on the injured list Sunday because of a "shoulder impingement" that's bothered him since the spring.

Before Sunday's series finale vs. the Orioles, the Reds placed right-handed pitcher Carson Spiers on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. The move came one day after Spiers threw 94 pitches over four innings of relief in a 9-5 loss to Baltimore.
