Police in Germany say one person was killed and others injured when a car rammed into a crowd in western Germany, police said. A suspect is in custody.

One person has died and several are injured after a car drove into a crowd of people in the German city of Mannheim on Monday, a police spokesperson said, adding that one suspect had been arrested. The official said it was unclear whether any other suspects were involved.
