Rebecca Marodi, a Cal Fire captain stationed in Riverside County, was found stabbed to death inside of her own home in Ramona on Monday evening, authorities said.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday identified the person they believe to be responsible for stabbing a Cal Fire captain to death in her Ramona home earlier this week.

Deputies from the San Diego Sheriff's Office found Rebecca Marodi, 49, in her home with multiple stab wounds on Monday. She died at the scene.
