Taylor Fritz claimed his first title of the year with a 6-3 7-6(0) win over top seed Alexander Zverev in the Stuttgart Open final on Sunday, extending his winning streak against the German to five matches.

Alexander Zverev joked he does not want to see Taylor Fritz for a couple of years after he lost to the American for a fifth straight time. Fritz triumphed 6-3 7-6 (7-0) over Zverev to clinch the Stuttgart Open title on Sunday. It marked Fritz's first title on the ATP Tour since he triumphed in Eastbourne last year.

Taylor Fritz is the champion at the ATP 250 event in Stuttgart. The American faced world no. 3 and his coeval Alexander Zverev in the title clash and earned a 6-3, 7-6 triumph in a rain delayed final.
