Wayne County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,497, making it the sixth-least populous county in Iowa. The county seat is Corydon. Wayne County was formed in 1846 but was still attached to other counties for governmental purposes. It was named after General Anthony Wayne.
