I see two antique shops/malls listed but can you tell me if there are more antique stores surrounding Galena? We would be traveling from central Indiana via I-74 and I-55 on a road trip with two more couples. We like an adventure and don't mind going off the beat and path. Any suggestions for excellent hole in the wall dining, eating,shopping? Probably a 3-4 day road trip. Also any suggestions on where to stay? Thank you!

We took a short drive to Elizabeth from Galena. There is a big antique mall in the former high school and a couple places on the Main Street (highway 20), plus a little cafe/coffee/sandwich place. Also a fort. We stayed in Galena at the Jail Hill Inn...luxurious and peaceful plus delicious breakfast. Enjoyed Fried Green Tomato restaurant.
